POE! is a murder mystery

set at West Point in 1830,

the year of Poe's brief stint

as a Cadet. Though the

screenplay for POE! is

highly fictionalized, much

of the language, locations,

situations and characters

are strictly biographical

and accurate to Poe's life.

The story takes a twist

when a tubercular barmaid

named Lenore, who works

at Benny Haven's Tavern,

is murdered.

Poe is suspected of having

committed the murder

… and must solve it before

he himself is arrested

for the crime.
